New Park Gate is a mixed-use scheme in Park Gate, Southampton, providing quality residential living and commercial space.

14 flats are provided on the upper floors of a three-storey building with underground parking for residents. The flats are a mix of one and two bedroomed and are designed with an open plan living theme. A restaurant is located on the ground floor level with frontage onto the street.

The site, which was once home to a garage and sales forecourt, is triangular parcel of triple-fronted urban land in close proximity to shops, other residential units and a busy road. The scale, traditional design, and palette of materials is sympathetic to the surroundings while the varied roofscape adds interest to the street scene.

Forterra’s Butterley Teviot Red, a red brick with a light texture, was selected to enhance the features of the architecture.
