Paving

Concrete block paving for domestic and commercial applications

Block paving is increasingly becoming the preferred choice of material to create areas of hardstanding and roadways for both domestic and commercial projects, not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its important health and safety, sustainability and flood resistance credentials.

Choosing permeable paving that is a sustainable urban drainage system (SuDS) is a condition of planning permission in some areas in the UK as risk of flooding grows. Formpave pioneered SuDS, utilising permeable paving, over 20 years ago and our Aquaflow® Permeable Paving System achieved The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation.

Alongside our Aquaflow SuDS system, Formpave also manufactures and supplies permeable and conventional concrete paving products, paving kerbs and accessories, and Nori clay paving.

SuDS help prevent flooding by replicating natural systems and processes to drain surface water. Collected storm water is stored before being slowly released back, either into water bodies or directly into the ground.

Formpave block paving products

The Formpave range represents a definitive collection of high quality, permeable and conventional concrete block paving products, designed and manufactured in the UK to enhance and add value to your project.

Ecogranite permeable paving

With over 60% recycled content, Ecogranite is the sustainable solution for permeable block paving. This premium range of permeable block paving has a textured surface, exposing the sparkling granite while offering excellent skid and slip resistance. The paving blocks incorporate a slot and chamfer which helps to prevent localised flooding by allowing water to disperse at a high rate making them the ideal premium paver to complement the Aquaflow SuDS system.
